I suppose Python has been removed from it entirely.

Should "PYTHON_COMPAT=( python2_7 )" be removed from net-print/cups ebuilds (both 2.3.3-r1 and 9999), then?

I had a commit for that ready, just forgot to push it.  Fixed now.
