Thank you for the report. Please recompile and 
*attach* the logfiles and 
paste the emerge info as described on
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Attach_the_logs_to_the_bug_ticket
We need to have all information at hand before ticket assignment, so that the maintainer can look after it in one session with minimal number of callbacks.
Please reopen this ticket (Status:unconfirmed) afterwards.

Add version where I wrote xxxx for you.

As to the build logs they have been deleted on the completion of the build.
I added further info on how I managed to get a compile,in another posting,This may help. 
In any case I'll repeat:  I applied the sockios patch manually,as any attempt to use patch failed, Deleted the item for the file from the Manifest, then edited the ebuild in line 111 changed 2nd makeopts from 0 to 1. Then ran ebuild on 5.12.4 to effect the changes.Compile was then successful build completed 2.5 days later.

This was a new build for this machine as the original hdd died.
