Same problem here after migration to new 17.1 profile: Probably due to the fact that pkg-config doesn't return anything for alsa cflags: enea /var/tmp/portage/media-sound/pulseaudio-12.2-r1/work # pkg-config --cflags alsa enea /var/tmp/portage/media-sound/pulseaudio-12.2-r1/work # grep UCM pulseaudio-12.2-abi_x86_*/config.h pulseaudio-12.2-abi_x86_32.x86/config.h:/* Have ALSA UCM? */ pulseaudio-12.2-abi_x86_32.x86/config.h:/* #undef HAVE_ALSA_UCM */ pulseaudio-12.2-abi_x86_64.amd64/config.h:/* Have ALSA UCM? */ pulseaudio-12.2-abi_x86_64.amd64/config.h:/* #undef HAVE_ALSA_UCM */ It should return -I/usr/include/alsa or something like that : enea ~ # ll /usr/include/alsa/use-case.h -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 16699 30 jun 09:46 /usr/include/alsa/use-case.h
Just to confirm: Changed the alsa.pc file to: enea ~ # cat /usr/lib64/pkgconfig/alsa.pc Name: alsa Description: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) - Library Version: 1.1.9 Requires: Libs: -L/usr/lib64 -lasound Libs.private: -lm -ldl -lpthread -lrt Cflags: -I/usr/include/alsa and now no more udefined reference
