Good for me, 1.8.6 is relatively recent in tree but was just a bugfix release over 1.8.5 (which mostly integrated smaller bug fixes itself).

Not so. Fails instantly with the following message:

> Failed to negotiate protocol, retrying with plain RDP.
> ERROR: rdp.c:128: rdp_recv(), unexpected stream overrun
