tomwij@gentoo.org has me on their bugzilla watch list, however, the developer in question has retired and if I'm not mistaken that means their gentoo email is defunct. I would like to be removed from their watch list to prevent any further spurious emails from being sent. Reproducible: Always Actual Results: they are cc'ed Expected Results: they are not cc'ed iamben in #gentoo told me to report the issue here.
clarification request: did you get a bounce? Bugzilla should not send watch mails for any disabled accounts (but the watches SHOULD still exist, in case they came back as a developer)
No bounces, just that a retired developer has ME on THEIR watch list and I'd like to be removed from it. Though speaking of bounces that's probably what's actually happening. If it's a matter of policy to allow a retired developer to watch someone though I'll leave it be, but I don't think tomwij is coming back and in the meantime I'd rather not be on his watch list or provoke spurious messages being sent to his nonexistent inbox.
I checked the logs; Bugzilla didn't send any mail to tomwij at all. So this is really a Bugzilla bug; in addition to not sending mail to disabled users, it should not tell you about watches made by disabled users; since they don't do anything.
When I post, it says "email sent to" four other people, of which tomwij is one
(In reply to Raymond Jennings from comment #4) > When I post, it says "email sent to" four other people, of which tomwij is > one Yes; it says that, but didn't actually send anything. So the bug is really that it's telling you it sent a mail when it didn't. It should just NOT show you disabled users in the list.
