Hi Andreas,

Its dependency virtual/cblas has no stable ebuild to provide.

Please stablize virtual/cblas first.

I don't see that as my job - why did you drop last stable virtual/cblas?

Oh, I am sorry. That was my mistake. I though cblas-1.0 is too old.

Let me add it back for the moment.

My mistake has been reverted. Please continue the stabilization procedures.

Sorry for the confusion.
Comment 9 Gabriel Marcano 2019-07-01 19:38:06 UTC
Did the revert also nuke the virtual changes for blas, lapack, etc.? virtual/blas-3.8, which included support for the new sci-libs/lapack package, are no longer in the tree. Was this intentional or collateral damage?
Comment 10 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2019-07-01 19:40:20 UTC
This is the wrong bug to discuss it, but see https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/12332 for what was reverted.
Comment 11 Gabriel Marcano 2019-07-01 23:34:17 UTC
Thanks. Yes, I had found that series of commits reverting those changes, the thing is those commits undid more than just restoring the blas-1.0 packages. If I can't find a bug report on the removal of virtual/blas-3.8 and other similar ebuilds, I'll file one.
