The dev-python/gnome-keyring-python ebuild is missing a dependency on gnome-base/libgnome-keyring. It does have a dependency on gnome-base/gnome-keyring (without "lib"), but that ebuild no longer (checked with gnome-base/gnome-keyring-3.20.0) provides the library that the python module needs. If you try to build dev-python/gnome-keyring-python without having gnome-base/libgnome-keyring merged, the build succeeds but the resulting installation does not contain the desired python module: # equery f dev-python/gnome-keyring-python * Searching for gnome-keyring-python in dev-python ... * Contents of dev-python/gnome-keyring-python-2.32.0-r1: /usr /usr/lib64 /usr/lib64/python2.7 /usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages /usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/gtk-2.0 /usr/share /usr/share/doc /usr/share/doc/gnome-keyring-python-2.32.0-r1 /usr/share/doc/gnome-keyring-python-2.32.0-r1/AUTHORS.bz2 /usr/share/doc/gnome-keyring-python-2.32.0-r1/ChangeLog.bz2 /usr/share/doc/gnome-keyring-python-2.32.0-r1/MAINTAINERS.bz2 /usr/share/doc/gnome-keyring-python-2.32.0-r1/NEWS.bz2 /usr/share/doc/gnome-keyring-python-2.32.0-r1/README.bz2 # (note the lack of gnomekeyring.so in the gtk-2.0 subdirectory.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. merge >=gnome-base/gnome-keyring-3.20.0 2. unmerge gnome-base/libgnome-keyring if present 3. merge dev-python/gnome-keyring-python Actual Results: dev-python/gnome-keyring-python is merged, but the actual module is missing Expected Results: gnome-base/libgnome-keyring should be merged as a dependency before attempting to build dev-python/gnome-keyring-python
