According to the project's documentation at https://eyed3.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ the project is tested and confirmed to work with Python 3.{4,5,6,7}. I locally added python3_6 to PYTHON_COMPAT and it appears to work fine with quodlibet also built with Python 3.6.

missing Python 3 support on this package just caused media-sound/abcde to be masked..

0.8.11 was added with https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/commit/ee23cf9880da8dabc903357266834019797d3429

and removed from package.mask with https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/commit/6e95a9b55ecb1151ef94ad03896a8c5f602137e9

This bug can probably be closed.
