Lacking updates for this package is a huge burden. For the record, I renamed the current ebuild (19.9.0) to 20.0.4 on my local overay: * it emerged successfully * it started successfully * so far I can't see anything wrong with this updated package on my production
Both 19.9.0 and 20.0.4 are in the tree now.
