Hello, Following discution in PR https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/7558 about following the restriction to 80 chars of the description field in repoman. I tested emerge --search to search for words in "long description" in the package metadata.xml and found nothing. This enhancement is about having "emerge --search" also look into metadata.xml/long description. This enables both honoring the 80 chars limit for ebuild description field and add longer searchable string in metadata.xml. The discution was also about what is displayed in the results but I don't see how not to break user experience.
