Description Joe M 2018-02-18 13:07:15 UTC
Hello,

The haskell overlay (git://github.com/gentoo-haskell/gentoo-haskell.git) has ghc-8.2.2. Can we please add it to the main overlay?

Thanks

To stabilize ghc we need a list of packages that break against new ghc:

No activity for two years - should be closed or newer version targeted maybe?

Maybe it worth to aim for 8.10.1 stabilisation instead?

If most packages work for ghc-8.10.1, sure. Usually it takes a while to settle and realistically ghc-8.6.5 might be better target.

Maybe ghc-8.8.x would be a better target? For example, the latest pandoc versions requires it.

Isn't this WONTFIX given the destabilisation of most of Haskell?

We can make it into keywording.
