Description Hasan Khalil (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-18 05:47:34 UTC
portage_data.py (around line 24ish) hardcodes the USERLAND to BSD on mac os, amongst other environments. Is this correct? AFAIK the USERLAND for mac os should be 'macos'. There are other references to USERLAND that might need fixing too.

repoman doesn't seem to work with cascading profiles:
IOError: Profile dir does not exist: /Volumes/Gentoo-CVS/gentoo-x86/profiles/default-macos/ppc/10.3

how are we supposed to know whether it's correct ? we dont use Gentoo on OS X

why dont you OS X guys figure it out and tell us what it should be

as for the cascading profile, DONT FILE MORE THAN ONE BUG IN A SINGLE REPORT

but that too does not look like a portage bug, talk to your OS X peeps like you're supposed to
