Description John Davis (zhen) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-08-13 00:21:21 UTC
Okay, added support for GNOME, updated the package lists, and addressed all of
the bugs that were listed in the database for it. I also added support for USB
mice. I did not touch the webserving and samba entries though beacause they
looked up to date.

Is GNOME really all that necessary? How about a discussion of setting up a more
"lite" desktop environment/window manager like Afterstep or IceWM?
Comment 3 John Davis (zhen) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-08-14 23:10:43 UTC
Well, I would think so considering GNOME and KDE are the two major desktop
environments at the moment. If you would like to contribute this, I'm sure it
would be greatly appreciated. I would myself, but I have no experience with
either of those desktop environments.
