Since I have updated my system from kde-apps/korganizer:4 to =kde-apps/korganizer-17.04.3:5, korgac does not show any reminder dialogs anymore. Upstream has a fix for kde-apps/akonadi, which makes the reminder dialogs work again (tested by adding the patch to /etc/portage/patches/kde-apps/akonadi-17.04.3/): https://cgit.kde.org/akonadi.git/commit/?h=Applications/17.08&id=d3c6ba904798768b0c83c2e182c27b1c624f78ca Could you please add this patch to the current ebuild for ~kde-apps/akonadi-17.04.3? As the upstream bug suggests, ~kde-apps/akonadi-17.08.1-r1 might need that fix, too.
The commit was added shortly after 17.08.0 tagging, can you confirm it is fixed in 17.08.1?
Yes, of course you are right: The fix is in 17.08.1 and it is no surprise that the reminder dialogs work with that version and without any further patches, as just tested. :) It's 17.08.0 and before which lack that patch. However, after updating to kde-apps/akonadi-17.08.1-r1, I had to rebuild everything depending on kde-apps/akonadi due to ABI breakage (missing symbols during akonadi startup): emerge -1a $(equery -q depends akonadi | sed -e 's/^/=/') Just as a side note.
Yes, KDE Applications releases are supposed to be upgraded completely, but akonadi and KDE PIM packages are particularly inter-dependent. Not sure if we should introduce a subslot there?
17.08.3 is now stable and previous versions dropped from tree.
