This just takes *.raw files of your voice (read the docs... the author has you cat /dev/audio IIRC to record) and plays them to say the time, date, and uptime of the system. I thought it might be thrown in as ear-candy for LinuxWorld.
Just to make mention here (if you haven't noticed already) that this is on the back burner till the freeze is officially, completely over. I'll take a look at it then.
Tested, installed, works, commited. Sorry it took so long. Credit given to Paul Belt in the ChangeLog for the ebuild. Btw, this program is CREEPY. Reminds me of the early days using speech progs in DOS with only the system speaker. *SHIVER*
