Hi,

While stabilizing bug #611134, emerging =app-accessibility/at-spi2-atk-2.20.0 with FEATURES=test fails to pass atk-test.

From tests/test-suite.log:

==============================================

If it does matter (because of error messages talking about X display), I have global USE=wayland flag enabled, but I was logged in a "regular" (i.e. X11) GNOME session when emerging at-spi2-atk.

No problem when tests are disabled.

Anything I can try to help diagnose the problem?

Thanks,

     Émeric

It seems missing maybe indeed, but after adding it, app-test processes just go defunct for me and it seemingly spins new defunct ones forever. So not really an improvement this way :(
Comment 6 Mart Raudsepp gentoo-dev 2017-05-23 18:11:24 UTC
Actually after waiting longer, it eventually succeeds the test run; though I see various stuff left behind from the tries...

The virtx fix is in, thus removing stabilization block marker, but probably should look deeper what's going on with this mess with the defunct processes, and such stuff sticking around from previous tries:

tee -a /tmp/portage/app-accessibility/at-spi2-atk-2.22.0/temp/build-abi_x86_32.x86.log
/tmp/portage/app-accessibility/at-spi2-atk-2.22.0/work/at-spi2-atk-2.22.0-abi_x86_32.x86/tests/.libs/app-test --test-data-file /tmp/portage/app-accessibility/at-spi2-atk-2.22.0/work/at-spi2-atk-2.22.0/tests/data/test-accessible.xml

albeit this might have been still around from an old test with a different dbus launching method.

I believe any part that would consider blocking 3.22 stabilization was solved with that, but forgot to remove the blocker back then

Just tried again: app-accessibility/at-spi2-atk now emerges successfully with tests enabled. No leftover in /var/tmp/portage on my system.

It seems to be not entirely fixed:
