Description Juergen Rose 2017-03-18 01:03:15 UTC
If I try to emerge vtk-7.1.0 without xdmf2 USE flag, it fails with:

root@lynx:/usr/local/portage/sci-libs/vtk(75)# MAKEOPTS=-j1 emerge -vuDNt1 =vtk-7.1.0::gentoo

These are the packages that would be merged, in reverse order:

Calculating dependencies \

!!! Problem resolving dependencies for =sci-libs/vtk-7.1.0::gentoo
... done!

!!! The ebuild selected to satisfy "=vtk-7.1.0::gentoo" has unmet requirements.
- sci-libs/vtk-7.1.0::gentoo USE="R X all-modules boost doc ffmpeg gdal imaging java json mpi mysql odbc postgres python qt5 rendering tbb tcl theora tk views (-aqua) (-examples) -kaapi -offscreen -test -web -xdmf2" ABI_X86="64" PYTHON_TARGETS="python2_7" VIDEO_CARDS="-nvidia"

  The following REQUIRED_USE flag constraints are unsatisfied:
    all-modules? ( xdmf2 )

  The above constraints are a subset of the following complete expression:
    all-modules? ( python xdmf2 boost ) java? ( qt5 ) python? ( python_targets_python2_7 ) tcl? ( rendering ) test? ( python ) tk? ( tcl ) web? ( python ) exactly-one-of ( X aqua offscreen )

If I add the xdmf2 USE flag first sci-libs/xdmf2 is installed. And the following emerge of vtk fails with file conflict with installed xdm2.
