Can you please post the compiler error and attach your kernel configuration?
Comment 2 groepaz 2004-08-18 10:30:31 UTC
error message was the same as the one i reported in bug #60725. i'd bet this is gcc and/or c-standard related :) (my gcc version is gcc (GCC) 3.3.3 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.3_pre20040408-r1))

the kernel config i dont have anymore, sorry :/ i wiped that source when upgrading to the 2.6.8-r1 kernel.

Could you try the gcc-3.4.1 compiler currently in ppc stable?
Comment 4 groepaz 2004-10-04 15:51:13 UTC
i am sorry, i have downgraded to 2.6.7-r14 since 2.6.8 didnt run stable for me. i'll maybe come back to this problem whenever 2.6.8 is stable.
