Description Kurt Lieber 2002-08-04 06:39:06 UTC
Currently, the Description field for mjc-sources is non-descript. :) It should
include a better explanation of why this kernel source is different than all the
other kernel sources (gentoo-sources, crypto-sources, etc.)

Also, gentoo-sources and crypto-sources both have comments within the ebuild
about what patches, etc have been applied to the vanilla sources. I realize
mjc-sources has this info in the changelog -- someone needs to come up with the
"right" place to put this information so people don't have to go searching in
multiple places.

I agree completely, in fact I was just about to post a report about it. I am
appreciative of mjc taking the time to generate the motherload of patches,
though. However, I always say you can never have too much documentation.
Actually, I wish mjc would merge the crypto stuff into his tree. I mean there
really isn't much point since both trees are fairly similar, except mjc's got
more feature without the crytpo stuff. Oh well, just a suggestion.

this is still yours ;-)

mjc-sources is gone for a while, I removed it and I want to have a stable, fast
patchset before letting mjc-sources rear its [ugly] head again...
