Description Mark Purtill 2004-07-21 22:38:04 UTC
kde-base/kde is in my world file. After an "emerge sync" eralier today, attempting to do "emerge -p world" gives:

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating world dependencies /
!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy "~kde-base/kdeaddons-3.2.3" have been masked.
!!! possible candidates are:
- kde-base/kdeaddons-3.2.3 (masked by: ~keyword)
!!! (dependency required by "kde-base/kde-3.2.3" [ebuild])

!!! Problem with ebuild kde-base/kde-3.2.3
!!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem.

!!! Depgraph creation failed.

This is because kde-base/kde-3.2.3 is marked as "x86", but it requires kde-base/kdeaddons-3.2.3, which is marked as "~x86". One of those must be wrong.

A work-around is to put:

=kde-base/kde-3.2.3

in /etc/portage/packages.mask.

anyone still having this problem? I've got kdeaddons at x86 here...
Comment 3 Christoph Safferling 2004-07-22 07:09:14 UTC
Yes, a resync did it. kdeaddons seems to be in x86. I'd close the bug if I'd be allowed to ;)

closing per above comment.

Yup, appears to work now.
