Description ahpook 2004-07-19 10:02:50 UTC
This is the most recent problem out of a number I've had on this box. Could be flaky hardware; still checking that out. RAM's ok, network card was changed with no effect. 2.4.22-gentoo-r5 is the last kernel that stayed up longer than about 24 hours. I now get random lockups every few hours- no keyboard, no network, no response, with both 2.4 and 2.6. This is the first time I've been able to catch anything written to the screen. Logs don't show anything out of the ordinary.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

Any extra info needed, just ask. I'm attaching dmesg and the ksymoops.

uname, lspci, and emerge info are pasted below.

Thanks for any help.

Sounds like hardware problem to me... Does the problem still exist on a clean 2.6.8.1 from kernel.org?
Comment 5 Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-05 06:29:43 UTC
If the issue still remains then please reopen bug with requested info. Thanks.
