I tried to build open-iscsi-2.0.872 & 873, both failed checksumming or filesize this will cause 'genkernel' to fail, on a fresh install. 873 fails checksum 872 file size "Got: 6953 ... Expected: 900081" REASON! open-iscsi.org is a bad website, a place holder for a domain that no longer seems to work.
It's a 200 not a 404.
i just ran `emerge open-iscsi` and it downloaded/built 2.0.873 just fine. when you post bug reports, you must post the full build log and your emerge info as attachments, as well as the exact commands you're running. we cannot triage this short error message. keep in mind that you must keep your GENTOO_MIRRORS setting pointed at a valid & up-to-date site. if you don't, then fetch errors are a problem with your config. the open-iscsi tarballs are fully mirrored on Gentoo systems.
SRC_URI is fine, but please update HOMEPAGE to http://www.open-iscsi.com/
