Description Stuart Haas 2004-07-17 17:07:29 UTC
I can run xorg fine, but if I exit X and restart it my system hangs and requres a power cycle to restart.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.startx
2.exit X
3.startx

Actual Results:
I see black and require a hard reboot

Expected Results:
To get to X and Gnome

Everything worked well in the previous version (r1)

I'm running the Nvidia drivers

emerge -p nvidia-glx nvidia-kernel opengl-update

Paste the output, try syncing your tree and updating those pacakges aswell.
Comment 2 Stuart Haas 2004-07-17 19:43:04 UTC
This is what I get:

# emerge -p nvidia-glx nvidia-kernel opengl-update

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild R ] media-video/nvidia-glx-1.0.6106-r2
[ebuild R ] media-video/nvidia-kernel-1.0.6106
[ebuild R ] x11-base/opengl-update-1.8-r1

Still a problem with 6.8.99.15 or modular X?
