Description Mauro Sciaccaluga 2002-07-28 15:10:35 UTC
Hi! I cannot emerge xmms (any version from portage) anymore.
It says:

libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/kde/3/lib/libartsc.la'
make[4]: *** [xmms] Error 1

This is my USE settings:

USE="sawfish acl nls doc gpm 3dnow spell java perl python fbcon doc encode gtk
gtkhtml aalib imlib java png jpeg gif tiff avi truetype mpeg mozilla oggvorbis
opengl sdl oss pdflib python quicktime readline slang ssl tcltk X dga xv zlib
mmx evo bonobo xmms gnome pam crypt -qt -kde -arts -alsa"

I have not kde, qt, arts, I dont like those things.

If I make a emerge -p xmms:
Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild N ] media-sound/xmms-1.2.7-r11 to /

just xmms.

That's really strange.

I was forgetting... I'm using GCC 3.2pre. I've tried also with gcc 3.1

Ok. I found the fix in the forum:

So it can be closed.
