Description Rajiv Aaron Manglani (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-08 22:03:50 UTC
there is a new version of the qmail qregex patch available at

<http://www.arda.homeunix.net/store/qmail/qregex-20040601.patch> or
<http://www.arda.homeunix.net/store/qmail/qregex-starttls-2way-auth-20040605.patch>

it fixes the memory leak described in bug 30570 and adds some features such as
matching with a badhelo file.

the old patch is no longer available; see also bug 41266.
Comment 1 Bel Zébute 2004-10-04 21:38:54 UTC
Bad: the patch disappeared and a new one with the date 20040725 as taken it's place.

Badder: This is going to be hard to maintain of the patch keep changing name.

Badest: The patch is now made exclusively for netqmail and does not patch plain qmail anymore.
Comment 2 Bel Zébute 2004-10-04 21:51:59 UTC
Good news.

In the ebuild, just replace qmail with old_software in the url
(becomes: http://www.arda.homeunix.net/store/old_software/qregex-starttls-2way-auth.patch

Now the patch works, but it fails at another one.

My job is done here. What's happening with the qmail ebuild?

It's on hold while I'm doing my 4th year of university.
Comment 4 Michael Hanselmann (hansmi) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-03 14:09:34 UTC
I changed the URL in the ebuilds. Since I had a problem on SPARC with the TLS-patch, I'll try to integrate the new version somewhen this week. Therefore, leaving this bug open.
Comment 5 Michael Hanselmann (hansmi) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-05 16:30:51 UTC
Integrating this patch gives a bit of work, because a lot of the other patches need to be rediffed. However, I'm working on it for r16.
Comment 6 Michael Hanselmann (hansmi) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-06 12:31:21 UTC
The patch (qregex-starttls-2way-auth-20041230.patch) is in the CVS including all needed rediffes. Could you test it, please?
Comment 7 Anders Hellgren gentoo-dev 2005-06-03 01:32:26 UTC
A very late test, but please see bug 88746 for a regression.
Comment 8 Michael Hanselmann (hansmi) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-06-08 11:13:12 UTC
Moving this to bug 88746. Closing.
