After mpv update to version 0.9.2_p20150824, smplayer stopped recognising video metadata, embedded subtitles and audio tracks. Reverting to mpv version 0.9.2-r1 restores this functionality. This could be related to this conflict (but of course it's not the same issue): http://blog.smplayer.info/mpv-srsfckn-biz-tried-to-sabotage-smplayer/

I believe mpv-0.11 fixes this
