Out-of-bounbds read and write has been reported in GhostScript package while processing a crafted 
.ps file.

Upstream's first release containing the fix was v9.08 however v9.09 was the first version which contains the fix and landed in the Gentoo repository.

This issue was resolved and addressed in
 GLSA 201612-33 at https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/201612-33
by GLSA coordinator Aaron Bauman (b-man).
