Description Nico Erfurth 2015-01-01 18:58:29 UTC
For unspecified reasons the support for CDB-lookups was dropped in 4.83-rc1 and was never introduced back.

The old ebuild at
http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-x86/mail-mta/exim/exim-4.82.1.ebuild?hideattic=0&revision=1.4&view=markup
still has this line:
sed -i "s:# LOOKUP_CDB=yes:LOOKUP_CDB=yes:" Makefile

it's missing in
http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-x86/mail-mta/exim/exim-4.83_rc1.ebuild?hideattic=0&revision=1.1&view=markup

As this can result in a previously working installation failing silently (The server starts but reports the missing cdb-support in the error-log) I'm reporting this as a major issue.

Reproducible: Always

This was dropped by mistake indeed. I readded the CDB lookup support in 4.84 and 4.85. I didn't revbump, because people who rely on this, should have noticed already that it broke.

Works now, thanks!
