I have just done a bump to package dev-python/ipy, ipy-0.82a.ebuild, the 1st. in 16 months in which they fixed a couple of test failures. However, at this point, the efforts are fruitless since none of the rev deps of this package can utilise this package since it requires inheriting of the new -r1 python eclass. In the case of nufw-2.2.22-r1.ebuild it is apparently very old. It inherit autotools eutils multilib pam ssl-cert NO python eclass explicitly and if there;s any implicit of hidden inheriting going on there it's Arfrever's now 'old' eclass. To actually utilise the bumped version, the package needs a dev-python/ipy[${PYTHON_USEDEP}] in order to be used as a dep. I presume this package has no setup.py (not looked) so a python-r1 or a variant ought suffice. I was informed in irc that a bump offers a challenge or 2. I hope you can find your way to meeting them.
Which version would that be?
Package removed.
