Kurt, even for security people, I know Deedra's a lot more comfy with them if they do take the quiz. It's one of those just-in-case measures. Besides which, it doesn't hurt for them to be familiar with ebuild writing, and our policies on ebuilds etc.
For this one, strike the probationary period, but have them take the quiz; I don't expect them to be fully 100% on everything there, but being at least a little familiar with development issues could be useful when dealing with security bugs. We've never really had a firm enough policy on who precisely should take the quiz; when Deedra's back in action we'll discuss it a little more.
Yes, he does need to take the quiz. People who are doing gentoo security should have a clue about ebuild policies etc I don't expect his quiz to be perfect, but he should take it and learn how things work.
He also must be cc'd on this bug, we won't touch him till he's cc'd on it.

Sune isn't active in CVS but he still does GLSA work for the security team and actively seeks new areas of activity in Gentoo. Bug closed.
I have to re-open this bug. See also bug 472656. I'm not sure what happened already but we have to retire his account as it's still marked as active. Can someone please take care of it?
