xf86-video-ati-7.3.0 works.
with xf86-video-ati-7.3.0:
glxinfo -l|grep VARYING
        GL_MAX_VARYING_FLOATS_ARB = 40

This problem is also mentioned in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75709 but I don't see any apparent solution. Maybe it is fixed in glamor from git.

Fedora is using a snapshot from "checkout 20140419gita4fbc77", maybe we should do the same? (or even using latest snapshot as it probably includes more fixes since then)

We have xf86-video-ati-7.5.0 in the tree.

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-ati/tag/?id=xf86-video-ati-7.5.0
As you can see, this is tagged on 2014-10-02 (3 months ago).

I don't use the onboard graphics now since I plugged in a better card.
So I can't test the onboard for some time.

Oh you spoke about glamor.

Anyways, as I understand it right, glamor is now builtin in xorg-server .

emerge -ptv glamor

Yes, I was referring to glamor. Well, then, could you test if the bug is still present in the new xorg-server? Thanks
