Description Manuel Rüger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-06-01 12:44:38 UTC
Kristian is currently finishing his quizzes and wants to join the Gentoo developer community. He already maintains some packages via proxy-maintainers project.

He wants to do some work in the Gentoo keys project and is also interested in joining the security team.

I'll be his mentor. We're doing the quizzes via recruiting.g.o.

As I'm playing with the webapp for the first time: Will there be a notification to the recruiters or do we have to ping again, when the quizzes are completed?
Comment 1 Brian Dolbec (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-06-01 12:55:28 UTC
He is already helpful in gentoo-keys :)

So +1 from me for his recruitment.
Comment 2 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-06-01 13:02:10 UTC
I presume his desire to be part of the security@ team will be handled after he becomes a developer otherwise we need approval from the security@ team. The recruitment for security members is different compared to regular developers

That is correct, this is a longer term timeframe
Comment 4 Kristian Fiskerstrand (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-06-01 17:25:32 UTC
The quiz questions are then all completed and accepted by the mentor in the recruiting webapp.

He has already got "Apprentice" rank according to our padawans classification.
