Description Anton Gubarkov 2014-05-13 13:24:58 UTC
gnome-session-3.10.1 power applet gets confused when my lenovo bluetooth mouse is connected. It shows that the PC is running on battery when in fact the AC adaptor is connected.

The mouse has a battery and its status is reported by both acpi and upower.
Battery0 in acpi output is the mouse battery in fact.

r9-008cln power_supply # upower -e
/org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0
/org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/line_power_AC
/org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_hid_f0o65oddo7eoa2oc7_battery

r9-008cln power_supply # acpi -i
Battery 0: Discharging, 0%, rate information unavailable
Battery 1: Charging, 91%, 00:22:58 until charged
Battery 1: design capacity 7714 mAh, last full capacity 7678 mAh = 99%

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. connect a lenovo bluetooth mouse P/N 03X6582
2. watch the indicator change to a battery-powered

Expected Results:
the applet should show the Pc is running on AC power and provide charge completion time estimate.

I took a upower dump and it shows that the mouse battery is NOT a power supply. So it's a gnome-power-applet issue.
