Description Gwendolyn van der Linden 2002-07-16 03:28:44 UTC
Currently, both the nfsmount and nfs rc scripts start and stop rpc.statd,
internally.

This means that when starting both nfsmount and nfs, and then stopping nfs,
stops rpc.statd, although it is still needed by nfsmount.

Also, netmount does not start/stop rpc.statd, even though it might need
rpc.statd for the nfs mounts.

I suggest to make rpc.statd a separate script, that nfsmount, nfs and netmount
can then depend on.

Please reassign to somebody who uses NFS and co, thanks.

Seems fixed in nfs-utils 1.0.6
