The current version of app-crypt/hascat-bin is erroring with the following error:
# hashcat-cli64.bin 
Warning: hashcat-cli64.bin is running from /opt/hashcat-bin so be careful of relative paths.
ERROR: this copy of hashcat is outdated. Get a more recent version.

Apparently this application has a builtin timeout that causes the applicaiton to fail after a certain time period, in order to ensure users are using the latest version. 

The latest version is 0.47, and the files may be downloaded here:
