Description dark_mail 2014-02-26 19:33:52 UTC
Both the release and the svn version in the science overlay fail during the linking phase (see attached build log, both release and svn version fail at the same step).

There are additional problems. The release version (6.0_p4651) of all elmer-related packages have wrong/outdated checksums (probably some changes on the side of SourceForge).

Listed below are the packages in question:
sc-libs/matc
sci-libs/elmer-eio
sci-libs/elmer-hutiter
sci-misc/elmer-elmergrid
sci-misc/elmer-fem
sci-misc/elmer-front
sci-misc/elmer-meshgen2d
sci-misc/elmer-meta
sci-misc/elmer-post

The svn version (-9999) suffers from another problem:

Unless AUTOTOOLS_IN_SOURCE_BUILD=1 is not set in the elmder-9999-fem.ebuild, compilation fails as make tries to copy the file mpif_stub.h but doesn't find it.
(Thanks to IRC for giving me a hand how to at least bypass that problem.)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add the science overlay via layman -a science
2. keyword the necessary packages to compile sci-misc/elmer-meta-6.0_p4651 (or -9999)

=sci-misc/elmer-fem-6.0_p4651 ~x86
=sci-misc/elmer-front-6.0_p4651 ~x86
=sci-libs/elmer-eio-6.0_p4651 ~x86
=sci-misc/elmer-post-6.0_p4651 ~x86
=sci-misc/elmer-meshgen2d-6.0_p4651 ~x86
=sci-libs/elmer-hutiter-6.0_p4651 ~x86
=sci-libs/matc-6.0_p4651 ~x86
=sci-misc/elmer-meta-6.0_p4651 ~x86
=sci-misc/elmer-elmergrid-6.0_p4651 ~x86

3. try to emerge elmer-meta
Actual Results:
compilation fails at different steps, depending on which version you try to emerge and how many of the above problems you have solved

Expected Results:
elmer-meta compiles successfully

ebuildtester emerge log amd64
Comment 8 Lucas Mitrak 2021-06-08 14:22:15 UTC
The package installs correctly on amd64 with the default USE flags of none. Attached are my logs from within the ebuildtester docker image. However, this bug was files for x86, and I do not have any x86 hardware.
