Description Pavel Kozlov 2014-02-05 13:00:01 UTC
I am tring to install last version of maven-bin (3.1.1 for that moment) and see that maven-bin packages depends on eselect-maven. (current version is 0.2-r1).
And eselect-maven depends on any of versions of maven-bin: 3.0, 2.2, 2.1 and 2.0, but not the last 3.1. As a result - I see that portage wants to install both maven-bin-3.1.1 and maven-bin-3.0.4-r1. But it's not what I want. I want only one and only last version of this package.

Well, you are mixing keywords. Please update java-config to version >=2.2.0 and get eselect-java, the replacement package for eselect-maven and others.

Leaving the bug open as others might run into this as well and the update path isn't obvious.

Ralph, thanks for the reply.

If so I think it is better to make maven-bin dependent on >=java-config.2.2.0. Now it depends only on java-config, and version 2.1.12-r1 is installed.

And maven-bin-3.1.1 should blocks eselect-maven.

Will try to update java-config.

has been fixed and is pretty old already.
