Description Ben Kohler gentoo-dev 2014-01-24 18:45:00 UTC
Old livecd specs used to unmerge gcc [1], but this was changed when adding software speech to the install cds [2]. Since portage now has preserve-libs default-on, that should ensure that any consumers of gcc libs like libstdc++ keep working.

In my preliminary tests, I find no breakage and this unmerge of gcc reduces the size of the minimal iso by around 32MB.
