PS. Sometimes GCC somehow randomly segfaults while building other (not from Gentoo's portage) apps too:

This will probably go away when you set a lower "N" in MAKEOPTS=-jN.

I already tried in that direction: -j1 and no -pipe. But it segfaults anyway.
But I'll try again right now like "MAKEOPTS=-j1 emerge thunderbird"

UPD. This time -j1 magically helped! No idea why it didn't work out before...

It was my 2-years old bug, it' resolved long ago.
