Description Sven Wehner 2013-11-29 15:12:30 UTC
Gramps version 3.4.6 has been released on October 28th: http://gramps-project.org/2013/10/gramps-3-4-6-released/
It seems to be a mere bug fix release.

I copied gramps-3.4.5.ebuild to ${PORTAGE_OVERLAY}/app-misc/gramps/gramps-3.4.6.ebuild (also files/gramps-3.4.0-use_bsddb3.patch). That version installs fine. On start it gives a warning: "OsmGpsMap module not loaded. Geography functionality will not be available." So I installed "sci-geosciences/osm-gps-map" with "python" use flag enabled. That fixed the warning. This could/should be a RDEPENDENT. Nonetheless, the package doesn't seem to be necessary for a working Gramps.
Overall that version seems to work. (Note: I haven't fully tested it. I played around a little bit, and used the narrated website report.)

Additionally, I'm using Gramps version 3.4.5 for a long time. I don't see a reason for not stabilizing it.

Gramps version 3.4.7 has been released: https://gramps-project.org/2014/01/gramps-3-4-7-released/

Btw. I'm still using 3.4.6, which works great for me.

Could also take advantage of the bump to port the ebuild to new python eclasses :)
