Comment 2 Bernd Westermann 2004-04-27 01:25:16 UTC
I have the same problem.
Trying to make a "ebuild /usr/portage/app-office/openoffice/openoffice-1.1.1-r1.ebuild install"
after failing emerge, I get the following error:

...

Those problems are not the same at all. Gtk is not supposed to be found and just a stray warning. It would be extra work to remove it while it works without removing the warning. Bernd's bug is really strange, are you sure that your harddisk is broken (or your memory)?

Gábor could you attach /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.1/work/openoffice-1.1.1/dmake/config.log

For some reason your system does not seem to accept a NULL argument to utime, which is needed for the dmake program which is used to make openoffice
Comment 5 Bernd Westermann 2004-04-30 03:17:31 UTC
I will test my harddisk and memory. Because it compiles without an error on my
other pc.

config.log (1.1.1)

I found a config.log file under the following path:
/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.1/work/oo_1.1.1_src/config_office/config.log
I hope this is what you think of.
Comment 7 Paul de Vrieze (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-01 14:41:52 UTC
The file in the dmake directory should be there. This one is for general openoffice.

dmake/config.log (1.1.1)

I found an other file in a path more similar to the one in your question:
/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.1/work/oo_1.1.1_src/dmake/config.log
Comment 9 Gábor BORGULYA 2004-05-01 15:04:36 UTC
I might have used USE="-gtk" in my make.conf when emerging some core elements of my system. I don't remeber exactly.
Comment 10 Paul de Vrieze (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-02 03:49:47 UTC
It seems that something goes wrong. While examining your log file again. I saw that you have the following problem "File `Makefile' has modification time 2.1e+02 s in the future". This is normally caused running accross a network filesystem while not having synchronized clocks. Compilation over a network is not to be advised anyway (it is slow), so try to compile at a local disk, or use ntp to synchronized the clocks. Then try again.
Comment 11 Gábor BORGULYA 2004-05-02 15:09:10 UTC
True, most of my system is stored in NFS directories. Strange, however that compilation always (3 times) stopped at the same place. I will try to synchonize the clocks.
Thank you very much!

I have the same problem as top post, but its after that that concerns me:

Replacing ${EVAL} with
Replacing ${FILEFORMATNAME} with OpenOffice.org
Replacing ${FILEFORMATVERSION} with 1.0
Replacing ${LONG_PRODUCTEXTENSION} with
Replacing ${PRODUCTEXTENSION} with
Replacing ${PRODUCTNAME} with OpenOffice.org
Replacing ${PRODUCTVERSION} with 1.1.1

It is clear that your installation set is not build correctly. Without a full log I cannot do much.
Comment 14 Robin Smidsrød 2004-05-09 00:05:57 UTC
I've got exactly the same problem with OO complaining about missing GTK, but NO error which looks like it should block the build. Which logfile do you need to check out the problem?
Comment 15 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-21 13:13:50 UTC
Is this still a issue for someone? Also the gtk "error" is normal and not harmfull so just forget about it ;)
Comment 16 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-16 09:29:08 UTC
No feedback for 5 months, so closing
