Description Christian - Manny Calavera - Neumair 2002-07-11 10:21:46 UTC
gstreamer is _not_ compatible with flac-1.0.3 (see
http://www.geocrawler.com/lists/3/SourceForge/1535/0/9127786/)
so it should depend on =media-libs/flac-1.0.2

see you,

flac is a gst-plugins dependence, it is not in the gstreamer ebuild.
flac-1.0.2 is no longer in portage so I'm not sure if adding this one again
will be a solution....

Comment 2 Christian - Manny Calavera - Neumair 2002-07-12 06:33:41 UTC
so a temporary solution would be masking gst-plugins and waiting until a new
version is out or patching it for ourself and releasing an -r1.
Which solution sounds better to you?
I provide a patch if it's demanded
I personally think the second solution is be better.

see you,

Comment 3 Gabriele Giorgetti 2002-07-12 15:02:22 UTC
Yes a patch could do it...
Comment 4 Spider (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-09-03 14:01:51 UTC
I fixed this by simply disabling flac support in gst-modules, it has to be
re-enabled in the next gst-plugins release :)
