Description Jim Marshall 2002-07-10 13:06:57 UTC
Attached is an ebuild for Zangband, version 2.7.1. Zangband is a roguelike
adventure game based on Angband, for which I have also submitted an ebuild.

Zangband greatly expands on its predecessors, adding many races and classes, a
huge wilderness system, multiple towns and dungeons, quests, a much larger
variety of monsters and treasures, and a certain "wacky" factor that the more
traditional Angband lacks. Although Zangband is based on Angband, I think that
these are different enough games that both belong in Portage. Hopefully
someone on the Gentoo team has played them both and can vouch for this.

The only thing unusual (to me) about this ebuild is that it requires
a "bootstrap" to make the configure script. This bootstrap doesn't make a
few "delete.me" files without which the make later fails. I've taken care of
this in the ebuild, but thought I'd note it in case someone wondered what
the "touch ./lib/{bone,data,info,save,user,xtra}/delete.me" in src_compile was
for.
