Devan Franchini is one of my students in the IT program at D'Youville College. He has been contributing to gentoo for a while, particularly to the webapp-config: http://git.overlays.gentoo.org/gitweb/?p=proj/webapp-config.git;a=summary He also completed a GSoC with Swift on a selinux policy generator last summer (2012). He has already completed the quizes under my mentorship but I'll see if someone else wants to give them a second look. Other than that, as soon as a recruiter is available, I think we can move ahead on this. He'll probably start off in the web-apps herd. We can really use someone to give webapp-config and all web-apps some love.
I'd like to ACK this, Devan has shown good ownership and initiative in a domain he was "thrown" in (during the GSoC and afterwards) and would be a great addition to Gentoo.
looks like I'm mentoring :D
I will be your recruiter. Please send your quizzes to recruiters@gentoo.org when approved by your mentor. Always add a comment to this bug when you send something to that address. When the quizzes are sent please contact me by IRC or email to schedule the first review session. If you think that recruiters aren't paying attention to this bug at any later point in time, it's your job to ping us on IRC if you don't want any delays.
Email sent to recruiters@gentoo.org with both the end and ebuild quizzes attached.
I have just sent the revised quizzes and the corrected ebuild to recruiters@gentoo.org, I will contact jlec to work on scheduling our next interview.

He looks inactive now
Not inactive, just busy. I closed a bug and pushed out a release of webapp-config though so hopefully things are fine.
