I get the following error: docbook2man -o doc doc/interface.sgml Using catalogs: /etc/sgml/sgml-docbook-4.1.cat Using stylesheet: /usr/share/sgml/docbook/utils-0.6.9/docbook-utils.dsl#print Working on: /var/tmp/portage/libieee1284-0.1.6/work/libieee1284-0.1.6/doc/interface.sgml Unknown SDATA: [minus ] at /usr/share/sgml/docbook/utils-0.6.9/helpers/docbook2man-spec.pl line 1156, <STDIN> line 3799. make: *** [doc/ieee1284_claim.3] Error 8
Same here, but before I had to emerge SGMLSpm.
To mee this looks like two seperate bugs. First the missing dependancy of libieee on SGMLSpm (see comment #1) and then a bug in the actual package itself.
well, actually there is something weird happening between docboox2X and docbook-sgml-utils. It seems as though this error as pasted occurs when docboox2x owns the sgml2blah binaries, instead of docbook-sgml-utils. Please remerge docbook-sgml-utils and see what happens. As for the SGMLSpm dependency, I am adding that into libieee1284 now. Please report.
reemerged docbook-sgml-utils, but same error...
Upgrading to docbook-sgml-utils 0.6.11 fixed the problem. As stated in the docbook-sgml-utils Changelog, support for SDATA like 'minus' was added after the release of 0.6.9 which is the current version in the portage tree. The latest version of docbook-utils is at: ftp://sources.redhat.com/pub/docbook-tools/new-trials/SOURCES/
