Description Fernando Padilla 2004-02-05 10:32:42 UTC
For some reason, their build process beeps whenever it enters or leaves a directory. Which is very annoying for those of us who try to compile for many hours while we're trying to sleep.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Expected Results:
no annoying beeps while compiling

What I resort to doing is to start the emerge, once I hear a beep I go to:

/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-*/work/mozilla/config/xterm.str

remove the ^G, and resave it. No more beeps during the compile.

could someone have the ebuild patch that file to avoid this useless beeping?
