At site (1), you can find what appears to be the closest match: tgz package (InstallAnywhere) ibm-java-sdk-6.0-9.2-linux-ppc.bin (97 MB) *Perhaps* this is the problem that IBM says it's a tgz package but only supplies a .bin. I tried tarring gzipping that file, but the ebuild doesn't like that. At site (2) one finds only SR10 and SR3. No SR9 At site (3) one can get to tgz format IBMJava2-SDK-1.4.2-9.0.ppc.tgz going through the "arch" as suggested if it's not immediately present. However, that is obviously not it either. Confirmed. You should have CC'd ppc@gentoo.org when you filed this. Looking at the changelog, I'm either misreading something or there's a disconnect. In bug 377623, xarthisius says he marked ibm-jdk-bin-1.6.0.9_p2 stable on ppc/ppc64 on Aug 13, but the changelog says that JoseJX stabilized it on Dec 21.
