Good morning. Please find the attached mtx-1.2.16.ebuild file. mtx is a set of utilities that allows the user to control SCSI media changers and tape drives. A user would need this package if they had a cartridge based tape drive and wanted to programmatically load and unload tapes from the cartridge. I believe it should be in app-arch/mtx, which puts it near the associated app-arch/mt-st

I've just wanted to submit an ebuild for 1.3.1. ;) It could be found at http://cvs.berlios.de/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gentoo-deutsch/ebuilds/sys-apps/mtx/ And I would suggest sys-apps as categorie (as I would do for mt-st). Regards, Alexander
I've just find out that 1.3.1 doesn't work with kernel 2.4. And because the supplied ebuild for 1.2.16 doesn't work, I've submitted an ebuild for 1.2.17 at berlios (see above url).
Hi, 1.31 won't work with -O3 (I've send eric a bug report with fix), but because the output of 1.31 isn't very nice compared with 1.27 I would prefer 1.27. Regards, Alexander PS: Searching for this bug, I've found two duplicates: 7207 and 8861

To everyone who submitted the ebuilds for this package, they all stank like old cheese, I had to combine elements from all 3 of them, and do some fixing of my own to make them kewl for addition to portage **keep in mind I just woke up, so I'm crabby** please look at the final version when you get it in rsync and use it as an example for your future ebuilding. Thanks for the submission nonetheless, this package is something that apparently a lot of people have been waiting for.
Perl freaks often are saying "There's More Than One Way To Do It". Sorry, can't resist. ;) Anyway, I would install the hmtl with dohtml, not dodoc.
