Description Lars Heiermann 2002-06-19 14:13:22 UTC
Hiya,

I just tried to emerge xfce and got the following errormessages:
!!! Portage had a problem processing this file:
!!! /usr/portage/x11-wm/xfce/xfce-3.8.16.ebuild
/usr/sbin/ebuild.sh: /usr/portage/x11-wm/xfce/xfce-3.8.16.ebuild: line 48:
syntax error near unexpected token `}'
/usr/sbin/ebuild.sh: /usr/portage/x11-wm/xfce/xfce-3.8.16.ebuild: line 48: `}'
!!! aborting.

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/emerge", line 1225, in ?
    if not mydepgraph.create(mytype+" "+portage.root+" "+mykey,None,"--onlydeps"
not in myopts):
File "/usr/bin/emerge", line 399, in create
    mydb=open(mydbkey,"r")
IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory:
'/var/cache/edb/dep/dep-xfce-3.8.16.ebuild'

it's a quite fresh installation of gentoo 1.2 (five days ago) and no 'external'
packages have been installed yet.

there was a typo in the ebuild, but it has been sorted.

sorry for the inconvenience
