Description Blu3 2004-01-11 09:25:42 UTC
The Anti-Spam SMTP Proxy (ASSP) Server project is an open source platform-independent SMTP Proxy server which implements whitelists and Bayesian filtering to rid the planet of the blight of unsolicited email (UCE). UCE must be stopped at the SMTP server. Anti-spam tools must be adaptive to new spam and customized for each site's mail patterns. This free, easy-to-use tool works with any mail transport and achieves these goals requiring no operator intervention after the initial setup phase.

If you (or someone else) provide a correct ebuild, why not?
Comment 2 Daniel Willmann 2004-09-12 16:27:52 UTC
Sounds interesting.
I'll see if I can put an ebuild together for it, I'm just a little low on time right now.

Feel free to reopen when you (or anyone else) attach an ebuild.

assp-1.1.0.ebuild (first try)

A few things you should know...
1. It's far from being complete. Since there is no install routine I had to
figure out by my self where everything goes.
2. I haven't tested it. If there is someone willing to test it I would greatly
appreciate any feedback.
3. The original init scripts are copied to /usr/share/doc/assp-1.1.0/rc/ and
there is no Gentoo init script (yet).
4. All the files install in /usr/assp. Assp seems to expect all of it's files
in the same directory so I don't think there's an easy way to have the binaries
in /usr/bin.
